Gaston Orahood
Springfield Regional Program Manager
Gaston grew in Thayer, Missouri. He attended Missouri State University and graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation, Sport, and Park Administration. Gaston worked for a few municipal parks departments before working on a psychiatric unit at Cox North. It was at this position that he discovered he truly had a passion for working with individuals with disabilities or going through difficult times. Gaston has worked as a Recreational Therapist, Direct Support Staff, and a Support Coordinator. Gaston is very empathetic and wants to ensure that every individual feels that they are being heard. He believes individuals should be able to make decisions in their daily life. Gaston enjoys seeing individuals making progress, gaining employment, and developing socialization skills.
Gaston currently lives in Springfield, MO with his girlfriend, daughter, and numerous pets. He is happiest when he is in the outdoors. Gaston’s favorite hobbies include hiking, cycling, and playing golf. Gaston enjoys making people smile, whether it be by lending a hand or cracking a joke.
