Wendy Callahan

Wendy has been a teacher for 22 years, with a majority of her career teaching at Summersville High School.  She graduated from Southwest Baptist University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.  She later earned her Master’s Degree in Secondary Administration from William Woods University. While teaching, Wendy also obtained certificates in Special Education and Family and Consumer Science.  Wendy spent 19 of her 22 years of teaching as a Special Education Teacher.

Wendy is married to husband, John, and they make their home in Summersville.  Together they have 6 children: Tyler, Josh, Jordan, Kimberly, Victoria, and Jake.  All their children are married with their own families and have blessed Wendy and John with 9 grandchildren.  In her spare time Wendy enjoys spoiling her grandchildren, going to concerts, and traveling.

Wendy feels like she makes a connection with individuals with special needs through her humor and empathy.  She approaches each situation with an open mind considering how she would want her child to be treated in the same situation.  Wendy is excited to begin her new career with Restoring Hope.
