Michael grew up in Bolivar, Missouri where he made great memories with family and friends . He proudly graduated from Bolivar High School, class of 1997.
Michael worked in the retail field from 2001 to 2009, as a retail store manager for Fred's dollar stores and traveled all around Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma .
Michael found his calling in late 2011, when he started working with individuals with physical and developmental disabilities . He has nearly 8 years of supervisor experience in the field between two companies, First Serve Opportunities and Easterseals Midwest. He was known as being a big advocate for individuals rights. His mission has always been to help his individuals become more independent with their lives.
The reason he calls this his calling; he assisted his mother in caring for his brother for over 30+ years, whom was diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome. And also having a daughter who is diagnosed as non-verbal autistic. But with hard work from her therapist at Motor Monkeys, family, and school, his daughter is able to talk and say her own name .
Doctors told his wife, when their daughter was a baby, that she would not be able to walk or talk and on this day she can say a few words and names of family members and friends. And at the 2019 Sporting Chance Track and Field, she won three gold medals.
Michael is a proud husband and father of three beautiful children. In their spare time, he and family love to travel to Kansas City Chiefs games, family vacations, and to visit their favorite town Eureka Springs, Arkansas. He also loves to go fishing and camping in his spare time.
Michael is looking forward to the future and making new memories and mission moments with his Restoring Hope Family.
