Melissa grew up in the small town of Dadeville not too far from Springfield where she was very active in school and church activities. Her parents were foster parents to other children and she and her brother had multiple siblings in and out of their home most of their upbringing.
After high school, she attended College of the Ozarks where she majored in Elementary Education and minored in psychology. She taught special education one year and worked as a QDDP for individuals with severe and multiple special needs for 7-1/2 years before joining the Restoring Hope family in January 2015.
Melissa married her husband in October 2008 and they live in Willard, Missouri with their son Kamden, who was born in May 2015. They enjoy watching him grow and change more than anything and feel very blessed to be his parents. Kamden is teaching them a whole new lifestyle as first time parents, although he fits right in and is already attending sporting events with them and traveling some.
Melissa also has two nieces and nephews she is very proud of along with a host of “adopted” nieces and nephews. Melissa wishes to be a positive difference in others’ lives and help them be as successful as possible.
